Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this program for?
This program was designed to benefit new and expecting parents that prioritize building a library that grows with their baby. It can be purchased by the new parents or as a gift from a friend, family member or colleague.
How many books/gift sets will I receive?
This depends on if you select the standard or premium program. With the standard program, new parents will receive two gift sets (one at birth and one at first birthday). With the premium program, new parents will receive three gift sets (one at birth, one at half birthday and one at first birthday).
Can I give this as a gift to a friend?
Absolutely! A Birthday Club membership makes a great baby shower or newborn gift. Gifts can still be sent straight to the new parents.
When is the best time to enroll my baby?
Anytime is a great time to enroll your baby. We've found that most parents enroll their baby at or around 30 weeks pregnant. Many parents that have not received the program as a baby shower gift will enroll their baby after their baby shower.
When will I receive my first gift?
One week prior to baby's due date, you will receive an email asking for baby's birth stats. Once we receive this information, we will process your order. Orders typically ship 5-7 days following receipt of baby's birth stats.
My baby is already here. Can I still enroll?
Absolutely! We love all our Birthday Club members and will ship out their gift sets as close to their birthday milestones as possible. We want to ensure new parents receive the best experience with our program! As such, if you have questions or concerns about whether it is too late to enroll your baby, please contact us via email.
The Benefits of Reading to Baby
It's never too early to start!

Brain Development
Emotional Learning
Babies aren’t just looking at the pictures in their favorite books; they’re also watching you frown when a book character is frustrated or smile at the happy ending. Your baby will soon learn to mimic your expressions and the sounds you make which helps with early brain development.

Emotional Connection
Bonding
Snuggling up to read a book together signals safety, love and emotional connection. Having that one-on-one attention with your baby strengthens your bond. Reading together is also a great way to allow older siblings to engage and interact with the new baby, easing their adjustment to changes as well.

Activity Transitions
Establishing Routines
Kids of all ages thrive on a routine. Reading can be a great addition to the daily schedule. If you get in the habit of reading at bedtime, for example, a book can signal to a baby that it’s time to slow down and get ready for sleep. (And anything that makes bedtime easier is worth the effort.)
